Referring to post #12 by Leeds. Also I still stand by the fact if a woman smiles and jokes with a guy he will always believe she wants him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can show hard evidence to back up this "fact"? Mark

I think you're missing the point that it's really a commentary on all human social interactions having an element of sexual politics to them, it's part of being an animal, it's not a "women vs men" joke.

My first real girlfriend was my best friend for 3 years after we broke up.
Another is still a good friend, she is together with one of my mates and I see them a couple of times a year and we are on very good terms.
The other was a total psychotic (borderline personality disorder), I had to change phone numbers.

Poppycock dear lady! The women at work joke a lot and smile at me, but I know they are not interested. In fact I generally can't believe any woman would be interested in me, then I look at the photo of my fiance and I know that at least one is interested.

I'm still friends with one of my exs, in fact she's now married to another friend of mine. However were are most definitely not the same people with the same hopes, dreams and interests that we were 25 years ago when we were in a relationship, and while we have enough in common still to be friends, we no longer have whatever extra it was that made the relationship work back then.

So... ...your assertion is that I believe that my mum, my sisters and my nieces all want me? I think you'll find I'm quite aware that that isn't the case

Most of my staff are young women, half my age and under, and they all smile and joke with me. Yeah, they want me.

What a tough job! I work with men too and not once have I thought someone at work was interested. I think a lot of it depends on the vibe you give off. I'm good friends with them and fit in as 'one of the lads'.

You've been in a relationship most of that time though? I had people behave like mates and treating me like one of the guys until they found that I was newly single and started offering to hook up.

Guys generally aren't that blatant at showing interest especially if they know you're attached but I guarantee more than half of them would make a pass if they thought they had a chance and will have quite possibly listed you on the "people at work you'd sleep with" conversations between themselves (unless of course they're all sad loners with no mates). If they work under you it's a different story, but I bet a couple of them have thought about it As a generally rule for 90% of the population you're probably right, especially if any physical contact is involved

I'm in a relationship now but I've worked in IT 17 years and there were times when I was single.
