I've just seen the new Harry Potter film. Overall it was good. Some bits from the book were done very well..... some weren't. Strangely they seem to add quite a bit that wasn't in the book too. One word of warning. If you haven't read the book a lot of it is poorly explained in the film and will seem quite strange, you'll be sat there thinking "where did that come from?".
Miles better than the crap that was Prisoner Of Azkaban anyway.

To be fair, Prisoner of Azkaban is probably my least favourite of the books too - though to be fair I still have to read beyond the Goblet of Fire.

Gonna try to go today. Have re-watched all the movies inside the past week, so everything is fresh. So I'll post up with an opinion from someone who hasn't read the books later.

Saw in on Sunday, enjoyed it. Some lovely and no doubt expensive effects in there. I had a hard time reconciling the speed with which the cast have all grown up as well!

Couldn't get any seats today. Pesky kids are off from school now :( There goes the summer!

Will have to book up for another time....

Also in the meantime, it seems Gambon and I have something in common:

I am just in from a late viewing of the film.

I loved it.

I watched it today at the IMax in Bradford. I must admit, I'm not as impressed as the rest of you seem to be. Only about the first 10 minutes of the film were 3D which was a little disappointing and I don't think the film itself was that great. Probably the best yet but still, it could've been better.

Depends if it’s an air brick or not, I suppose.

My sister went to see it last night.

She said it was okay, but a little boring in places. My mum asked her how it compared to Transformers II (which is one of her favourite films after we saw it at the cinema recently) and my sister said "not as good. Transformers is all action, you don't get a chance to get bored. Harry Potter is a little dull, and when there is action even that is a bit boring they're just like 'wahey lets do some more spells' ".

Overall, a pretty poor review from her haha. I asked her if it was worth the 6quid to go and see it. Her response?

"Dan (the boyfriend) paid, so yeah"

I thought Transformers 2 had too much action, which resulted in me getting bored - seriously, a script that wasn't written at 4.55pm on a Friday would have been nice :x

Saw it a few hours ago, was pretty dreary until the final 30mins or so, then it picked up and got down to what it's meant to! MAGIC!!

And I liked Transformers 2, I haven't seen a decent 'make everything explode' film in a while, was good to see it :D
