From the 380x304 image I've seen, I'm convinced I'm qualified to say that I don't mind it.

Agree that she looks older. It reminds me of when I was learnin to draw humans and I used to draw "feature lines" in the same weight ink as the rest of the drawing. It falsely accentuates features that are otherwise much softer and less visible.
