Wait until the general election next year, then you'll get canvassed.

Didn’t last time. Why should it be any different next time?

Anyone up for reforms across the board, gets my vote. Heather.........? ;)

In my view government is supposed to be about us (the people) giving OUR consent to a smaller body of people to represent US and carry out OUR wishes, whilst ensuring OUR country "runs ok" (whatever that means).

The current situation has endured for too long and I've recently come across an interesting counterpoint to the whole situation. I'm not sure if I completely agree/believe, but I'd be interested to hear what people's thoughts are on this thread:

It's a long read and the videos on the BCG's website are an hour a piece, but very interesting reading....

Funny how that works, since most laws that affect Britain are now made in Brussels...

I wish they'd move that parliament somewhere other than a place that has a sprout's name.
Amsterdam anything so as to not hear borish euroskeptic alliterations in the mail.

Safe seats are only safe seats because the parties decide to let them be that.

Are you insane. Then MP's/MEP's would be claiming for prostitutes on expenses. ;)

I forget who ran the story, but 'allegedly' that's already happened  , and then you had somebody else who was playing away from home in more ordinary circumstances and claiming expenses
