A friend thought Boris Becker and Boris Johnson were the same person, and that Berlin was in Belgium.

She has a degree in Marine Biology and will be going onto a masters next year.
Still gets confused between elbows and shoulders though.

That is often a "problem" with experts, they know their subject inside out and they don't understand anything about life or topics outside their area of expertise...

Yesterday I discovered that tipping hot fat that's just come out of a 200C oven down ones front makes for some rather unpleasant blistering of the skin.

I knew a guy like that. A levels and S levels galore, then went on to get a couple of degrees. Last I heard he was running a nuclear power station.

Despite all that, I wouldn't trust him to put a shelf up.

My mum worked for a guy, several degrees, absolute genius, when it came to geophysics and locating oil, but she had to sign all his cheques and he only managed to pass his driving test in his 40s - then went out and bought a Porsche and wrote it off at a track day a couple of weeks later... :roll:

its good that he crashed on a track rather than public roads, there was a nasty porsche crash near me few years ago, idiot killed himself, he hit into 2 other cars I think, and he leaves a wife and baby fatherless :roll:
