Exasperating waste of time 'Cloverfield' is apparently direct continuity to exasperating waste of time, 'Lost'.

Something I just worked out:

As of 22 January 2012, at the merry age of 31, I have lived longer without my dad than with him.

:(

Yep. He died two weeks before my GCSE exams.

And people still ask me why I didn't do so well in life...

For every 1lb of weight you gain, your body has to make an extra 4 miles of blood vessels.

you can just press "L" on your keyboard in flickr to see the photo large on black, that's going to save time :) (should be the default view IMO, i want to look at the photo not all the crappy group-award gifs.)

Also I only realised the other day when i went to my work's Christmas do a few years ago, the pretty girl I'd never seen before "from central office" was an escort hired by the owner... I'm surprised how slowly i worked that one out...

Wonder how long ago his wife worked it out.

ah the irony  a boy I remember from scouts the only vivid memory I have of him in the scout hall is how he kept pointing at me as the barber slipped when cutting my hair he kept saying "hes got a bald patch! hes got a bald patch" but as he was foreign english with a weird accent it sounded like "hes gaut a boold patch" and at the post office today I saw him in a halfmast suit which looked stupid and at the back of his head a big gaping obvious natural bald patch :P hes younger than me aswell and ive no bald patches

My father went to a V-Day celebration just before he died. They managed to get a lot of the "rationed" food, that they had to eat during the war, one of the "dishes" was Snoek, canned whale meat.

Snook (Snoek) is actually a South African fish. Which is not to say whalemeat wasn't sold in the later stages of the war - hence Vera Lynn's famous song "Whale Meat Again".
