Ernie, there's only one way to rip CDs - EAC. Although it won't like scratched ones. For that, look at CDex. IMGBurn makes CDs, not just IMGs.

are you really old?

Depends. I'm 28. Young if you're 60. Positively ancient if you're 6. Why do you ask?

you use the word "albeit" which only old people usually use

I'd actually suggest people with a wider vocabulary tend to use more words. It's nothing to do with age at all.

i use albeit on the odd occasion, and im 19. pretty sure the 30-something writers for CustomPC use it a bit too.

I read up on EAC, seemed good. CDex just didn't wanna know on Win 7, I have no idea why (I used to love it for MP3 conversion on XP).

I couldn't find a direct copy function on IMGburn :?

Anyway, found a Nero Essentials CD (I know, I know) that'll do the job I need it for quicker than anything else, and without any more faffing about. The CD was willing to accept Vista so I realised there was a good chance it would play nice with 7, and it has so far :D

To get a Def Leppard ticket for the Odyssey Arena or not, that is the question.

I say "albeit" with rather regular frequency. I don't consider myself old.

CDex will work on 7, but there's a workaround. I have x64 Pro. I think what I did was create the destination folder beforehand and then cut the ripped files out of that, and put them elsewhere. On XP, I cut the whole folder and CDex wrote at anew, every time. I think 7 likes it to be there already. Does that make sense?

"Fan" might be pushing things a little, but I'm certainly familiar with their stuff.

Yes, makes sense, I guessed it'd be something like that but wasn't fussed enough to find out at the time - might have to try it at some point though, so thanks :D
