Could I request that the "open external link in new tab" thingy is fixed please?

Under the default theme I get these behaviours under these browsers:
Camino: Works fine, when I press command+click (open in new tab) I get two tabs.
Firefox: Works fine, however, when I press command+click I get taken to the new tab, it doesn't load in the background.
Opera: Works fine, however, when I press command+click I get taken to the new tab, it doesn't load in the background.
Safari: Always opens in a new window, regardless of settings and buttons pressed.

All browsers are up to date.

It's just a tad annoying when you're going through a list of external links and you're suddenly swept away from what you are doing...

Cheers,
Ben

I think that is your browser behaviour rather than the site at fault. In the Firefox settings you can ask it to take you to a new tab when it is opened, or leave it for you to navigate to when ready.
I don't have much/any experience with the other browsers but I'm sure you could fix your problems in the options.

I might be totally wrong.

Joe

However, I use the middle-click rather than ctrl-click. Does your mouse not have a wheel or middle button?

At work I do, middle-click is open new tab, or paste previously highlighted text, depending on whether I've clicked on a link or in a text box...
At home middle-click makes all the windows fly about  I use it for exposé to view all windows, which is might handy, but does mean I don't get the same middle-click functionality...

I've looked in the Firefox preferences and it's set to open links in a new tab in the background :?

I did find that under Opera I could right-click and select "open new tab in background", and under firefox I could do right-click and select "open in new tab", which is what I have done, but it was a little tiresome doing that for 34 links, increasing 34 command+clicks into 68 ctrl+click > select+click...

Excellent :D

May I inquire as to what is happening with the rest of the site? Or is that a surprise?

In progress, there's a lot of work to do and people are doing it in their free time so it'll be done soon (ish)

That's certainly something I'd be happy to help out with.

A quick questions about the rules.

Does this mean you cannot say "£50 ONO"? Or would that not be classed as an auction and be accepted?

If someone messages you with an offer thats your choice, we can't have pages of offers posted.
The idea is that the site isn't invilved with the transaction
