Back when I was a teenager, I loved this babe. She's a bit old now though, surely? Anyway, I've just watched the entire Lord of the Rings. Never watched it at the cinema or on TV, and was never really interested. Then when it came out on blu-ray, I was ready to buy it. Until I heard there was an extended edition boxset. I've watched each one over the past three nights. Still processing the information at the moment.

Proportionately, yes, but I think she's more of a granny I wouldn't rather than a mother that I would.

I am thinking about moving my iTunes folder to a much bigger drive because before long it will get tight on my 2Tb drive. Though the downside is having to rescan more than 1700 albums at the iTunes plus so it matches iTunes Match when that is out. It will take weeks to do.

What particular way to tackle my 'lack of space on the PS3' problem...

Get another PS3 with a larger hard drive.

You'd never know you were an Apple fan No, I'm thinking I'll buy a 750gb HDD for the laptop, stick it's 250gb in the PS3 (should be able to install everything I own then and still have space), then put the PS3's 120gb in a caddy. All my current caddies require a plug and socket, so that'll be handy... The real question at this point is what's the most efficient way to clone the laptop and PS3 drives

There are a number of very good cloning software available. SuperDuper and Carbon Copy Cloner are available for macs and there may be PC versions.

The only option you have on the PS3 is to back it up to existing external USB drive. I don't think you can even 'clone' it as such - the backup the PS3 makes is not itself a bootable PS3 disk, so you can't just backup to the new drive them swap them over. It's a pain in the arse, frankly. It means to swap drives you actually need two spare drives...

Yeah looking into it, the whole thing's a frigging faff, but I'm probably gonna have to do it, so...

When I stuck a new 500GB drive in the PS3, I had to first copy across eveything like game saves, profile stuff etc on to USB flash drives. Deleted all game data, stuck the new disc in and let the PS3 do its thing. Copied back all the stuff. Works fine. Total stuff was around 8-10GB.
