Dammit if I'd have remembered this, I wouldn't have stayed in bed this morning.

I haven't step foot in HMV to buy something in around 10 years. I have had to meander there when I need to kill time whilst waiting for someone/something but that was at least three years ago.

You can have a look online at least, I'm gonna buy the Battlefield 3 novel (£2 delivered, though it's not in the sale).

The sale's pretty crap if their online prices are even repeated in the store, from what I've seen.

Yes the final prices are too high. I suspect that this is to get really good launch sales figures.

FYI the media centre part just doesn't work. Won't record TV, issue seems to be with file write permissions, which seem banjaxed

The media centre is FUBAR in general, I had to revert my HTPC from windows 8 to 7 because of that.

DVB-S tuners pick up less than half the channels the very same card does in Windows 7, no BBC3/4 ITV1/2 C4, E4 etc. Too many to be dropping crap like the god channel.

Sleep resume to record hasn't worked once in the 3 weeks I had it on.

No supported WHS2011 connector software (Windows 7 I can record tv then it will copy to my home server so I can watch it anywhere in the house in a machine with MCE on it)

Guide listings seemed broken, but that seems to be in general now (BBC1 doesn't load local listings correctly, only on selecting a show does it work)

Must say with all this faff I'm tempted to get a regular dvb-s box that has a network streamer and be done with it.
