That Pinot Grigio is made with red grapes with their skins taken off. That North America has roundabouts. That the Dogwood is the state flower of North Carolina. That the Eastern coast of North America has the highest number of sunken ships due to immense sandbanks and the strategic importance of torpedoing merchant ships during WW2 for ze Germans. That a guy I just met is cousins with a partner for Jones Day, one of the biggest law firms in the world... I'll remember that one! :D That baseball is not always about trying to hit the ball as far as you can. That Americans have nice lager! in the form of Sam Adams's Boston lager.

Thanks for the links. Of all of the cartoon and film versions I've seen, the 2003 version IMO was the best and my favourite. I wonder what the new version will be like. I hated the design of the 3D movie.

Completely crap, isn't it? I preferred the old style.

+1 on the design, I'm expecting full-on anime since it's in fashion (Marvel especially).

Thing is they'd only just tinkered with the site

What nation was that? I think that there were some even older mentioned in old Chinese texts or Greek texts. These were basically upturned bowls over the head that held an amount of air, held underwater by weights.

More or less the same design, but with a hose going to bellows.
The design was in Tolhoffer's warbook, which is German I think.

Marrow and ginger jam is my favourite. My mum adds it to her rhubarb crumble.

The Greek and Chinese versions had no pipe so would have been limited by the rate of air consumed.

Just because you can does not mean you should. So what is the reason for it this time? The pure evil that is Farmville? ;)

That today is Read Comics in Public Day.

http://www.wired.com/underwire/2011/08/ ... eedfetcher

I've found a brilliant way of ruining people's misconceptions about comics - show them a copy of the truly graphic graphic novel The Boys, then explain to them that Spider-Man etc isn't that far removed these days, and definitely shouldn't be on the lower shelves :D
