get a simple metal one, they work just as well as the fancy electronic ones and don't get jammed also you need to boil milk in them first to "seal" the metal

Where do you eat most of the time? seating at computer, at table? with family? in front of TV? i've seen that very few english houses have dining tables (at least student ones) so i'm kinda of curious

By complete chance, this week I have mostly been eating red cabbage. I hadn't been shopping for a month, and the only "salad" left was an enormous jar of pickled red cabbage which took me nearly an hour to open It's very sweet and fruity. I've been using it with Brie and hummus wrapped in home made tortilia. Quite tasty for an emergency meal.

I do but I prefer to use enamel ovenware and slow cook it.

Definitely the best sort. We have a dinning table in the kitchen. Normally end up eating watching TV in the living room.

Depends on what we're eating and when. For Sunday dinner or if we're entertaining, we'll sit at the dining table. For messy (with sauces and gravy) foods, or if there's nowt on telly, we'll sit at the kitchen table. If there's something on telly we'll sit on the sofa and eat it off our laps. If we had kids, we'd all sit at the table, but as we don't, we don't see any harm in eating in front of the telly if there's something we want to watch. Most student houses don't as there isn't any space. There certainly wasn't in my student house.

In the end I stuffed the red pepper with cooked brown rice and tomato sauce (tin of tomatoes with garlic, white wine, herbs de provence a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt) then put a bit of cheese and breadcrumbs on top. It was deelish and to be recommended.

Yum Tom. We had sausage, egg with home made chips made in a proper deep fat fryer (the one thing boyfriend insisted on buying when he moved in). Went to bed straight after dinner as boiler still out of action so no heating. Tonight I get to go to Mummy's so heat and yummy food

We have a folding one in this house, and we had a massive kitchen table last year. However i visited many houses which barely had any cooking space and no tables

If you do it with a big tomato, you can put uncooked rice at the bottom it will cook nicely and keep your tomato from getting soggy
