Yep, it's one of a group we have that regularly raid the bird feeders. Unfortunately, I haven't got any ammo for my AK-47, or I'd have turned it into Swiss cheese long before now.

When I get completely fed up, I stick some food to a small block of C4 :D

I take it then the local squidger population is illiterate, so you can leave signs out to warn the birds.

I saw the one you took with just the tail light in colour on Flickr. I really like it.

Who Lives in a House Like This?

Found this on the sofa last week, obviously blown in through the window, I know the pics aren't great quality, but I've never seen anything like it before. There's a hole in its back where it looks like something either tunnelled in or tunnelled out, and it got me wondering.

Could be part of the wasp family, something similar to a female ichneumon wasp?

If it has three "prongs" at the rear end, it's probably Rhyssa persuasoria, a female ichneumon wasp.

Yep, we had a scan through tons of pictures of them last night and that seems to be the most likely thing, I just can't believe I've never seen one before :D Now not sure what to do with the empty shell of a body. :?

I've just got my first roll of Ektar 100 back.
I'm in love. It's gorgeous. I'm going to shoot lots of this, I can tell.
