I have been brought up on Times New Roman and Arial. However, any font is fine as long as it isn't stupidly over-complicated, like the "Handwriting" styles... *twitch* All OS's should ask if you are making a greetings card if you select a silly font. If not, it will crash and wipe your hard drive

This is giving me a horrible flashback to the comments made by a tutor years, neigh eons ago, who used to work for Letraset and said that he could almost have a "typographical orgasm" over a good typeface.
Wrong, so very wrong.

I have to admit that bad fonts quite often cause me to use expletives. My own font of choice is Myriad Pro

It's one of the only fonts where the letter "a" is actually printed as you would write it by hand.

Yes it is nice. I might be a dullard but I do use Arial quite often. Though I use Courier and Times New Roman a lot as well. Final Draft uses courier as default.

I'm with Rusty, although if the font is poor, I'll stop reading and look at something else, if the font is bad. Probably why I've never read much in CS, I read the first few words, give up and go on to the next thing.

There are technical reasons for this; because it's a fixed pitch font, you know that your script pages are going to be consistent and give you the page-per-minute that you're after. It's not an aesthetic decision, purely practical.

I dont like Comic Sans at all. I like Calibri in MS Word 2007 for general stuff.

Yes I knew that. Though thank you for explaining why. I could not be bothered.
