Depends what you're into I 'spose, but I'd give it a go now just to see if things have improved - I know a lot of new bands are on it that I like, and I was as shocked as anyone at that

No, I don't know what it is.
Just read the thread and I'd say still no. I've got plenty of music on iTunes and the only time I really listen to music is in the car where I either listen to the radio or my shuffle.

Yep, AmberMac tweeted yesterday that the iPhone app is only for monthly subscription users of the service...

It's great for those tracks you haven't heard in years though, and testing out albums before you buy them, looking at an artist's back catalogue while you're there etc

Hmm. Spotify > last.fm in my experience. If I want to play an album, I found that impossible in last.fm. In Spotify I just type it in, click the album and double click the song. I like the interface. And it does work on Vista x64, contrary to what Gav said. Believe me, I have it on the machine next to me playing now. Main problem? Lack of AC/DC. (And I am still alive btw )

Yip, I agree, but I believe it comes down to AC/DC themselves on that decision - it may have something to do with them wanting people to listen to their albums as a whole, rather than cherry picking tracks IIRC

Fair enough, and I'd have to say that I agree. Listening to music is definitely better on Spotify. That's not the reason I use last.fm though. If I want to listen to music, I use iTunes. If I want to find music, I use last.fm - it's recommendations are generally very good, and not confined to just the poptastic chart-topping stuff either. Some of the stuff it recommends to me gets less than 100 listens a week on last.fm, and when you consider the size of the userbase, that's not much!! I find it quite amasing how accurately it can judge my music tastes.
