I've always loved the old film model making art. It's often fun to try and pick out the parts used from commercial plastic kits.

It's always amazing the insane details that get put in, even for a model that might only be on screen for a split second.

I was hoping you'd pop by here and see that link. (8+)
I was going to comment on the detail of the Death Star images particularly.
There's stuff in those photos tha we just didn't see in the films, I think especially as there are pictures from angles just not seen of it in the films.

If you haven't already seen it, you might find this site interesting: Martin Bower's Model World. Here he shows the stages of building an Elevator Car from the classic Thunderbirds episode "Trapped In The Sky." This is the man himself with some of his models.
