Try a new customer quote on swiftcover, I did and it was £100 less than I was currently offered as a renewal price with them.
Haggled and got it down to £20 below that level (from £700 to £580) (as I pointed out I could claim £25 cashback via quidco OR beat that quote if I signed up via a site with them for the same price (I assume they get renewal bonuses so it made a difference))
Tried the usual suspects such as Adrian Flux? Also try Elephant (part of Admiral but they are for different drivers so prices are different)
HSBC also have an offer where they
guarantee to beat your renewal by at least 10%
(I wasn't eligible however as apparently I need to be 25 for my car to benefit...an old Honda accord.....)
http://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/personal/hsbc ... -insuranceHave you thought about adding an older (pref. female) second driver with 0 accidents or points? I know someone on another forum who added his friend to all his cars (including a ST220 and a 200SX) and brought the price down some more, it's not fronting either (as she will probably never drive it

)
Only works with people with 0 points or accidents though, I tried to add my mum (2 accidents, neither her fault) to my policy.... put it
up from just under £600 to £1200!!! (Which is why I'm the only one insured on my car

)
Used them the past 2 times I have gotten tyres myself, first time was on the Megane and got decent tyres fitted while I was at work down in Reading (not balanced as it was a mobile fitting van so decided against that option the following time)
2nd time they were delivered to my local Kwik Fit/hi-q, got a call when they were ready, took 20 mins tops. The guy said it was great as they don't have to worry about price matching an independent as blackcircles handle it and they just fit them, great service there and a great price on Yokohama's (£50 a corner less than kwik fit/hi-q at the time too!)

Other one I have heard good things about is camcircles, not used them myself
