In my view government is supposed to be about us (the people) giving OUR consent to a smaller body of people to represent US and carry out OUR wishes, whilst ensuring OUR country "runs ok" (whatever that means).

The current situation has endured for too long and I've recently come across an interesting counterpoint to the whole situation. I'm not sure if I completely agree/believe, but I'd be interested to hear what people's thoughts are on this thread:

It's a long read and the videos on the BCG's website are an hour a piece, but very interesting reading....

I forget who ran the story, but 'allegedly' that's already happened , and then you had somebody else who was playing away from home in more ordinary circumstances and claiming expenses
