Downloading games could take ages - 1.8GB according to Wikipedia. Then save to a memory stick.

This starts to sound like a cartridge system to me, but with one cartridge holding many games.

This works fine if you have a PS3, because you can install them all to the hard disk and then copy them across when you want to play with them, but it kills the used UMD market, which I'm enjoying at the moment - picked up the last 3 games (Killzone, Ridge Racer 2 and Tekken) for a tenner each. To download 1.8gb onto my PSP I'd have to leave it plugged in and switched on or the battery will run flat, unless I do it at 3am where the broadband connection goes slightly above dead slow.

Wikipedia was the first thing I looked up when I read about the Go too :)

I'll be amazed if it's a decent seller over here - I suspect most people will realise they can't be @rsed...
