Nintendo's Satoru Iwata dies at 55
I've never been a 'Nintendo Gamer'. I've never even owned a Nintendo console apart from an Original gameboy many years ago. But this is a sad day for the games industry and for gamers around the world. Anyone who pays any attention to the industry knows Iwata was a genuinely positive presence, championing inclusivity and joy over profit-at-all-costs. One of the few CEOs who actually seemed to take an interest in games as more than a product to be sold, and possibly because of that that one of the few CEOs who actually seemed to be having fun.
