They built a multiplayer only game where the online community died on it's arse in months. Not really a surprise they're trying to claw back as much money as they can. |

Big initial splurge but most buyers didn't stick with it apparently. Obviously MS aren't releasing official stats that say that (why would they?) but that's what the consensus seems to be. The theories as to why are obviously just theories but they include a lack of follow up content (free DLC etc) meant people got bored with the same maps over and over, the fact apart from the wall running it's actually quite a 'vanilla' game and that most of the people playing it were the CoD crowd who went straight back to CoD when Advanced Warfighter came out and turned out not to be crap. |

Yeah, I thought it would be good. I don't like CoD and that kind of game. But this had a twist with the wall running and titans and stuff. It would have made an awesome single player (or coop) campaign game. But with online only it was the same as any online game. The learning curve was vertical because you were up against players who didn't give a crap who you were. Whether you were in a titan or not they would kill you before you were able to even see them. With only a few maps it meant that the variety was shocking too. |
