Do you think the XBox One will be cheaper or more expensive nearer to xmas?
At the moment, deals are hovering around the £300-£350 range, depending on extras. I'm yet to be convinced by the Kinnect - ours hardly gets used - so I not bothered about that.

If it drops in price any time soon it won't happen until after Xmas I think.
They'll exploit the Xmas shopping and then drop it in the sales.

It's been discounted twice already I believe, so I'd imagine it'll be after Xmas.
IMHO the PS4 seems to be the better system all round, with the notable exception of sh1tty PSN, though you do get decent 'free games' for your £40 a year. And on the PS3 too if you have one.
Truth is though, I'd wait until the new year anyway for games that are actually worth buying and keeping - I only bought my PS4 because I got a deal on it and have been using Boomerang rentals ever since. The only disc game that's been a worth a crap was Infamous, and once completed even as a rental there's little incentive to go back to it. The only notable games I've seen for the Xbox are Destiny and Titanfall; neither system has anything 'must-buy' yet IMO, though Olly can advise you on Destiny!

PS4 is a 'better' system with no decent exclusives. I really like the One. I even like Kinect. I don't play games on it jumping around the lounge but things like controlling the system with voice, auto sign on and voice activated satnav in Horizon 2 have really swung me in favour of it. I was thinking eventually of PS4 down the line (I can't resist Gran Turismo) but now I'm thinking of a Wii U for the whole family. That does mean the G27 wheel will have to go *cry* This looked a good deal if you don't want Kinect http://www.shopto.net/video-games/xbox- ... horizon-2-

HUKD reported that Xbox One (solus) with Alien Isolation and The Evil Within scanning at £305 at the till at Tesco.
Another chap mentioned the Forza Horizon 2 bundle with the games mentioned above also scanned through at £305! Worth a punt if you're near a Tesco.

I don't have Alien Isolation personally, but I've been told by friends it does some really clever stuff with the Kinect/PS4 camera. Sounds like a really good game, if admittedly very much not my thing.
