Arkham 3 to release in 2013; possibly not a good thing

There's been a real focus on the districts and interiors without the streets that connect them this time.

The game started off loaded with bugs, so that wouldn't surprise me. Dunno if they fixed it, but fast travel resulted in guaranteed lag. Not good when Bats insists on plummeting towards a criminal gang in some areas. I tended to grapel out and wait for the RAM and whatever to get back in sync...

Well it's crashed twice in the space of an hour. Once when gliding and once when fast travelling from the bat cave. This is horrendous. The last two games never froze on me.

The first game froze all the time for me, but I suspect that had more to do with it running on a knackered 'fat' PS3. It was fine on a 'slim'.

Other than fast travel, I don't think Origins crashed for me. Is it fully patched? It never hurts to check their official forum.

I had the 40GB fat pS3 and I don't think it ever crashed. Seems to be working now. I've been running around destroying network jammers. Doing that and tackling random crimes has meant I've had 4 level ups. Currently just entered GCPD.

This game is really starting to do my nut in. It doesn't follow commands in combat and whenever there's a cut scene there's always a bit of jerk/lag at the beginning.

Keep your save file and try a reinstall?

Failing that, get your money back.

TBH that probably came across unfairly. I do like the game FWIW. I love doing some of the challenges, which is contrary to City. It's just during the odd fight where you get the shock marks from someone's head (telling you that someone is about to counter), you hammer away at the triangle button and Batman still gets hit.

I'm also struggling in combat with more than one "armoured" guy. Normally, if there's one, you use cape stun and then beatdown. Recently discovered if someone's about to attack during that, you can counter and return to the beatdown and hence continue the strike count uninterrupted. But it's proving difficult if there's more than one armoured guy. Overall, I'm doing much better in terms of chaining attacks than I was with Asylum or City.

Yeah, the combos are better but then you get absolutely surrounded.

That's bound to reach consoles digitally - I never read up on it but it didn't look too bad :)

The reviews were uniformly pretty awful, sadly.

Cheers for the heads up, I'll look into it if it comes to it. The rot started creeping in with City

Met Bane. And now struggling. Up until this point it has actually been enjoyable.

What's the context?

The struggle or the enjoyment?

I gathered there's two encounters and this is the first one. We're on the rooftop now and the Joker's henchmen are causing havoc whilst I fight Bane. I've learnt to dodge, and I try and jump over Bane to do the cape stun but he usually manages to attack before I've managed to stun him.
