Far Cry 4 - It's pretty much the same game as ever, but at least it's a bit more polished and reasonable (at least the illusion of choice isn't regularly fatal now).

Problems... Same as ever; driving's difficult enough without pointlessly wasting ammo at the same time. The majority of weapons are still crap and inaccurate, and the obsession with crafting etc kills the pace. There's a reason these games get cheap quickly.

The Far Cry series - still trading on the first game after all these years. I only rented it because there's so little available for the PS4.

I loved 3 but didn't instantly warm to 4 as I thought I would. I'm a fair bit into now though and thankfully it does get better and (IMO) surpasses 3. Driving is pants though.

Trine - Brilliant so far, bought both games off PSN.

Marvel Puzzle Quest - Finally gave up. They keep moving the goalposts with every update and you're talking twice a month now. Plus tonight it crashed and somehow injured my characters, randomly. So go fcuk yourselves.

Fantasy Life on the 3DS. Really awesome little JRPG.

You start and pick from 12 different "lives". Wizard, paladin, cook, alchemist, carpenter, etc...

Then you go on quests and improve your skills and level and stuff.

But... You can switch between different lives and learn complementary skills. So as a wizard you can become an alchemist and make potions etc...

You can use all of the skills at any time but skills are more effective in the correct life. So if you learn to cook something and switch back to being a wizard you can still cool it but you won't be as good.

Really nice little game :-)

Yay, won my second game against someone who I was expecting to do better given their player ranking although they were on Random race so maybe terran wasn't their best. Looked like the quit in a huff too as I just squelched 3 battle cruisers in rapid succession :D

Still done seem to be doing much APM though.

Tiny Troopers Joint Ops - Like Cannon Fodder with a bad menu system and a seriously wonky control one, too. Still playable, but it's a time-killer best got free off Plus if it hasn't shown up already.

Following a number of defeats I've been placed in the lowest of the low bronze league in Starcraft 2.
Not that I'm surprised right enough. Technically I won 2 out if the 5 placement matches but on of those I suspect was because my opponent disconnected as soon as the game started.

Still playing Elite but had a break on Saturday night to revisit Dragon Age Inquisition. It is a very good game to be fair. I did almost (mistakenly) turn my character gay during some dialogue options!

Zombie Army Trilogy - Basically a third person version of zombie mode from CoD. Not bad, but very one note as you might imagine. Sort of thing you dip into every so often and probably wouldn't spend more than £8 on once you've seen it.

Tembo The Badass Elephant - A mixture of every action platformer going, with particular emphasis on Rocket Knight if you remember that one. It's exactly what you'd expect, complete with 'indie touches' like comic-style panels to hide the lack of budget all these titles have ;)

Mortal Kombat X - Not bad, HOWEVER, they'd like you to either grind away at every option in the game to unlock some of the finishers with 'koins'... or you can get your credit card out. Yes, it's a Warner Brothers game

Things to note

You can't do fatalities in the story mode because there's an actual story (some great moments, but it keeps repeating the same scenarios over and over mostly).

Some of the characters are utterly dire and by all rights shouldn't be able to win a match (it can be really noticeable when the game adjusts like this)

There's a faux limitation on moves when you select the character - so, say Sub Zero will have a defence set of moves, projectile, or whatever. I have no idea why this is.

If you've played Injustice GAU this game is almost identical, what with both falling under the WB house rules.

I like the characters enough to keep playing it, but if I had to make a definitive statement I wouldn't tell anyone else to buy it. WB can go fcuk themselves, they're actually getting worse.

Completed Xcom Enemy Within expansion. I really liked it and it made the game worth having that 2nd play through.

I'm now working my way through Tropico 4 but suspect the repetition will see me give up before completion.
