Damn. Brown trousers time.

I'm hiding in lockers and under desks at the slightest bloody noise.

It's a game of hiding.

Modern Warfare 2 - The braindead hackers have seen everyone leave what used to be a good game, so now you're lucky if you can even get a game going :x

Still playing Alien:Isolation. I’m spending a lot of time in cupboards too. Just seen the alien again. It seems a little too smooth for me - there’s texture on the creature in the film.

Also - what’s the film grain setting about? It makes no difference on the PS4.

Holmes: Crime and Punishment (or some sh1t) - Click and examine sorta game, only the camera is placed right behind Holme's head, characters' faces barely move, and I gave up... Very first case I do everything it tells me to do. Then I go through EVERYTHING I've done because two characters left each other without saying what was gonna happen next. None the wiser, having tried every avenue, and with the above crapness in mind, I ejected the disc and deleted the install.

I have no idea whether there's a bug or what, but if IIRC the game didn't have a patch, which might be telling.

Civilization Beyond Earth.

Graphics are gorgeous and the initial setup appears interesting – rather that selecting a leader with predefined characteristics you set some of your faction traits by picking the colonists/specialists and equipment you brought with you.

While it’s clearly based on the Civ 5 game engine I have no idea what the hell I’m actually doing yet but I suspect I’ll get the hang of it.

It’s managed to produce an impressive crash – the application froze and effectively blanked out the screen. Was possible to select other things with Alt-Tab but as soon as you let go CBE grabs the screen back so you couldn’t click on anything. Fortunately the Start screen (thankyou Windows 8.1) was unaffected so I could restart the PC.

Me thinks this will be a bit like Civ 5 – vastly improved once the first expansion pack comes out.

Battle Islands - So confusing I couldn't tell if I was actually controlling it at all.

Secret Ponchos - Online third person shooter where everyone runs around in circles, firing until you fluke and actually hit someone. No wonder it's free on Plus.

Injustice - One of the best fighters out there, though it hasn't much competition!

Elite Dangerous. Rather good. However my PC is a bit old and chugs a bit so I'm hoping they get the Mac version out soon.

I had a quick go on Secret Ponchos. It's be much more fun as a 'Commando' style 1P game tbh.

SkySaga infinite Islands. It's a game that desperately wants to be Minecraft, currently in alpha. Graphically very impressive - it retains the blockiness without being 'primitive' if you know what I mean - and it's more sophisticated than the game it's copying. But somehow it just doesn't seem to have the charm, and it's not truly 'free form'. Maybe more interesting when the get the MMO style parts of it up and running.

The Evil Within - Everyone's totally weird and all it does is rip off other games whilst you try to figure out what it wants so you don't die for the hundredth time.

Gratuitous Space Battles (thankyou Steam Sale). Had this on my mac but the graphics on the PC version appear considerably better. Its essentially a tower defence game but still satisfying to watch stuff getting blown up all over the shop. Seen the trailer for GSB2 and am a little worried mr Harris appears to have decided lens flare is awesome but we'll see I guess.

Enemy Front - Like the original CoDs but on the cheap, like £3.99 cheap, but they were looking £8 for it originally IIRC!

It's probably just about worth £4, but it lags like hell and really needs a patch. I'd love to know who's playing the multiplayer
