NBA Live 14 demo - It's a good game, I'm just rubbish at it! Can't say much for the graphics and animation though.

Same for FIFA 14.

Towerfall Ascension - I can just about see the appeal of it in two player, but I'm not sure anyone would '1p' for long. And I really detest this fashion for retro blocky graphics. Games never even looked that bad then!

GTA 5 - I dunno if I'll persist with this, I'm at the point with this series that listening to people bickering in cars is extremely old. It's well put together, but it's also a little worn out...

I was on another forum and some troll posted the most abusive, racist and generally nasty thing I have ever seen on the internet.

The only response was

"Is that you Leeroy?"

Splinter Cell Blacklist - It's an incredibly accomplished game, the problem is that doesn't extend to the shooting. As a result you have to empty an entire mag into someone if you're spotted, and even this often DOESN'T ACTUALLY WORK. Thinking I'll go for a headshot? Yeah, that's not so accurate either sometimes and immediately means you'll be using that save point for the tenth time in a row.

After all the work they put into it, you'd think someone might have spotted the immediate flaw.

Battlefield 4 - (campaign) technically accomplished and certainly better than recent CODs, but it still suffers from 'will you get out of my way?!', and it doesn't matter how accurate your shots are, they'll often miss no matter what fire mode you're on. As a result I saw no reason to finish it

Oh, and can shooter designers please get back to using the top two shoulder buttons for aiming and firing? The reason COD uses it is because it makes more sense than the lower two! Or at least give the option to re-map the buttons, fcuktards...

Deadpool - It's the same as any other Marvel third person game really, but it's bloody funny with it. Genuinely lol'd on a few occasions. Nearly forgot, the art department deserve special praise; we're talking Uncharted levels of immersion here.

PS4 Tomb Raider - Couldn't recall any difference between it and the PS3 version, the graphical difference is barely there because the game looked great to start with. Plays great too. Knocks the recent Uncharted sequels into a cocked hat.

PS4 Lego Movie game - Some really good bits but it's a kitchen sink job like it's inspiration.

South Park: Stick of Truth - It's a simplistic RPG with good humour but the combat system is timed button-pressing so

By the third time I had to fight like that I just gave up, it utterly kills the game. Thankfully I only rented it.

PS4 Injustice: Gods... - It's not a bad game in itself, it's just I'm really struggling to string together combos :?

The cinematics range from great to absolutely shocking in story mode, and either way, the facial expressions tend to look like a horse eating or something. Next to no extra work appears to have gone into the game other than giving it a higher resolution than it's PS3 cousin. This often makes things look worse as you might imagine.
