Did you chisel out a cock & balls? It seem to be a very popular motif.

Looks interesting.
The "prize" for the person who destroys the last cubelet is a video.
They then can choose what to do with the information in the video.
LOL!
Sounds like a PR stunt for a new game.

The PR stunt is the game.
BTW, a friend of mine ran the numbers. At current rate of ablation, the prize will apparently be revealed in roughly a year and a half's time. Hands up who doesn't think most of the people currently tapping away will lose interest in about a week and ablation will slow to such a rate that the prize will in fact never be revealed at all.

No one knows how many layers there are though. Could be only two or three. (I doubt it but it's possible). In fact, I imagine that the number isn't actually set yet. They will be able to make any subsequent layer the last layer I reckon.

Assuming the pieces you chisel out are cuboid and of a constant volume, and knowing how wide/tall the cube is in cuboids (which is known apparently), you can figure out how many cuboids there are in each layer of the cube and thus all the way down ('shaving' a layer of cuboids off the volume of the cube each time) until the cube is the size of one cuboid, which is presumably when the prize will be revealed. Apparently there are something over 1000 layers by this calculation. The other option is the cuboids reduce in size proportional to the size of the whole cube, so each layer has an identical number of (smaller) cuboids in it. This is apparently a slightly trickier calculation but intuitively you can see - as in this model the number of cuboids remains constant for each layer as oppose to the above model where the number of cuboids reduces with each layer - it will take even longer to chisel the cube down to the size of one cuboid. So this model will take even longer to reveal the prize. I'll see if I can dig up the email he sent me with his workings in .

If it was a real solid cube made up of real solid cubelets then I'd agree. However, I have a feeling that each "layer" of the cube is the same size. i.e. i't not really a cube it's just 8 surfaces in the form of a cube. Then each time a "layer" is nearing completion they can load up a new "layer" which can then be revealed. That way they can see what the activity is like and determine whether or not to make the next "layer" the final "layer". If that makes sense. If the first layer was made of 160million cubelets then that makes the cube dimensions... about 4.5million to a side. Which makes the volume about 1.99*10^19. 19,900,000,000,000,000,000 Whatever that is... Going by the stats here... http://www.22cans.com/wordpress/stats/And taking an "average" active user base of 200,000 That means there are 2,891,000,000 cubelets destroyed every day. That means it would take about 19 million years to get through the entire cube. (And I think I underestimated the size of the cube).
