I bought the metal case Red Alert 3 at the weekend and its back in time for C&C fun.
FMV in full cheese mode, dodgy acting, babes in tight leather. God I missed all that

As a game its firmly in the classic C&C mold and frankly why break it.
Its fun, its not going to tax the mind or your reactions.
It doesnt have in depth reasoning but hey sexy babes acting badly 8-)
It is a weather the intial storm, build up your army then go clobbering time game.

In the word of the meerkats... simples.

a funtastic retro stylee 7/10

Personally I prefer C&C 3. RA3 is just a little too "cartoony" for my liking.

at first the cartoon style really bugged me. But after a few missions I found myself not really noticing.

I would rate C&C3 over RA3 but thats because Kane is back 8-) . I have been a firm follower of the C&C world since the original blasted onto this world... off to reminisce :D

I see EA have announced C&C4. It's going to be the last one in the Tiberium series (or so they say)

clickey

It will be the last.. unless it makes enough money then... how about some prequels!
How Nod developed, tiberium arriving on planet earth, the creation of GDI.
Tiberium twighlight, Tiberium midnight, Tiberium daybreak...

C&C4 will go straight on preorder for me :D

I’m an owner of all the C&C series so far and to be honest the only one I seem to go back to is Zero Hour (generals), still the best in the series (online too) and the sooner they bring out an updated version of it the better.

The best in the series for me is easily RA2, followed by Tiberian Sun, then C&C3.

If they do that then it will be back to the usual response. Wait a while, buy game and then get the crack for game. Enjoy without the added grief. FTW :D
