A Microsoft TechNet Plus subscription is aimed at IT Professionals who want full-version Microsoft software, beta software, professional support incidents, managed newsgroup support, a technical information library, Microsoft eLearning courses, online concierge chat, the TechNet Magazine, and many other resources for evaluating, deploying, and maintaining Microsoft software. The subscription normally goes for $349 (download-only) or for $599 (download and DVD shipments). You want it free though, right? No problem: Canada link, US link, and UK link

Registered through the UK link, from Germany, I couldn't change my country, but it worked... I get the German software.

I thought there might be a few peeps on this forum that would like to have a peek at MS Technet and with this trial you never know when they are going to pull it. Especially when word leeks out and a few million try and get in 8-)

Registered but the server that generates the product keys is in need of a new hamster.

I just followed the link in the Neowin.net article, signed in with my Hotmail address (Windows Live ID) and signed up. It logged me straight in.

It was a cock up by MS. It was not meant for everyone to have access. My subscription has been removed. I did get some software and keys though. :)

Wonderful - I downloaded Small Business Server 2003 R2 Premium Edition and Vista, but I couldn't get the keys last night. I'm guessing that I won't be able to get them now.

Bloody marvellous!

I'm afraid so. Some idiot on the Neowin forums hammered the key server for 300 keys yesterday, most likely not the only one. Which explains why it went belly up and gave those errors.

You'd have thought that a company the size of Microsoft could send an automated email advising of this, wouldn't you?
