The BBC tactfully puts the words “to resign” in quotes. Makes me feel that they don’t quite believe the move was voluntary. I bet she was told, quite forcefully, to hand in her notice.

I've heard at a personal level she is pleasant...BUT as Home Secretary she was a shrill waste of space in my view.

Why oh why do these numpties think shrill sound bites amount to sensible government and begin to believe people can't see beyond the sound bites and the vacuity within them? The sooner the lot are gone the better I'm afraid. Not that the alternatives are necessarily any better.

Richard.

My first reaction to the title was "F*ck really?!", second was "Yes! About time"

Good riddance, fascist bitch that she is. Bring back Jack Straw until Labour get booted out in May 2010.
