The Gimp isn't bad, but it isn't a credible alternative to PhotoShop CS3/4.

I tried Acrobat Pro CS3 yesterday with an auto generated report... I couldn't edit it. :? It seemed pretty pointless. I mean, I can generate PDFs from my website, I can generate PDFs from MS Office and OpenOffice and I have a PDF printer driver, so, if Acrobat Pro can't actually edit the PDFs, what exactly am I supposed to do with it?

Dave, I find being able to edit a PDF in Acrobat depends an awful lot on which application generated it.

Not all PDFs are created equal. ;)
