It'd be hard to get a pic that text would look good on, surely? :?

Even the PS3's XMB can be difficult in that sense...

This'd be really cool if any people here did this they could take a screenshot of their customised Google page and display it here.
I'll be checking my images tonight at home to see which ones look good.

One of the main reasons I have Google as my home page is that it's among the quick web sites to load, (don't even bother telling me about using about:blank ;) ) and I can't see a backgroung image doing anything except slowing it down... Am I missing something?

I like the Google home page because it's crisp and clean, but then I can appreciate some people might want to ruin that with their own picture.

You do realise that the about:blank page is the quickest page to load. Don't you JV?

If you use Google Chrome, those images will load faster than a speeding bullet being hit by lightening.

JV, just to let you know - about:blank loads nice and quick. Quicker, I do believe, than Google.

Give it a try! :P
