How the F can a lawyer specialise in protecting first names? They're not copyright, people can use whatever names they want for anything like that. |

Well that may be the case here, but I'm not sure how French law applies to the situation. Of course it's still ridiculous, stopping a company naming a product because it happens to be your name is absurd (with the exception of celebrity names etc, where it might be construed as an endorsement). |

Well in that case it was not only a business usage of a registered trade mark, but it was the exact same area of business too. The argument was - rightly in my opinion - the situation might mislead consumers. |
