Petrol prices could hit a record high of £1.20 a litre in the next few weeks, according to the AA.

Oh happy days

Oh arse.
(I've been stock piling the '4p off per litre' vouchers a local station has been putting on the back of parking stickers though. No expiry date FTW!)

Filled up on Sunday - my first £50+ fill for a while. I don’t drive as much as others, but when I do it’s usually long journeys, so I consume more fuel in one go.

And where is the militancy that brought the roads to a stand still over this in 2000? Eh?

That was for 80p litre iirc. Never had a problem myself at the time, but there was a large refinery down the road.

I use this web site to find the cheapest petrol in the area now.

http://www.petrolprices.com/

I drove across town to Sainsbury’s to fill up (£1.12) as the more local petrol stations are much closer to £1.15 a litre.

I assume that the extra duty that Badger imposed to balance out the VAT cut has not been removed.

No - there was a No 10 petition about it too. No reply from them yet - it will be a generic “suck it up, loser” type reply.

That's what went up 7c here, but it is still nearly 20c a litre cheaper than petrol...
