+1 It does make us wonder if the government listen only to commercial interests and if so the only solution is to tell them what we think of them. |

The people who download a massive amount of copyrighted stuff over P2P will have the technical know-how to not be detected. The people who download the occasional chart-tune via P2P will not - they're gonna be the teenage girls who have no clue about how to use a computer properly, just that "if you click this, you get this". Unfortunate, but draconian rules always seem to penalise the people who aren't really doing that much wrong and the people who are actually breaking the law get away with it. (My stance on illegal downloads does not affect this post, it is merely an observation ^_^) |

It is starting to be encrypted already. More and more I am seeing encrypted connections. |

Does anyone know if iplayer/4OD etc has some sort of unique identifier to determine it's different from bittorrent, for that matter are they encrypted as well. |
