No information on how he fell down a lift shaft - whether the lift failed, the door was faulty and opened without the lift being there etc. Or whether there is an investigation under way... I hope he recovers swiftly. One of the last real motoring heroes we still have. |

The BBC reported this last night, and after describing his injuries (broken ankles, damaged vertebra etc.), went on to say his condition was 'comfortable'. Comfortable, to me, is a nice warm bed. Not multiple impact related bone injuries. I'd describe that as 'wracked with pain'. |

He should be used to going from 0-60 in 3 seconds - though maybe not vertically. ![]() No seriously, I hope he recovers quickly - he's one of the last true gents in motor racing, next to Jackie Stewart. |

If this wasnt a legend and a old bloke at that who suffered some nasty injuries this sentence would be funny as [LIFTED]. |

It's a bit Harold Lloyd isn't it? I have to say 'Sir Stirling Moss Plunged Down LIft Shaft' must win some sort of prize for the most unlikely but true headline ever. Jon |

And no crash helmet. What was he thinking? I hope he gets better. Though at 80 it might be a while before he is running marathons. |

Some Stirling Moss jokes. I see Sterling Moss has been shafted Sterling Moss the fastest reader in the world 2 stories in 3 seconds! My girlfriend was sucking my cock last night when I told her to give me a Stirling Moss. "What's that?" She asked. "I want you to go down right to the bottom of my shaft" I replied. |
