For frick's sake, it used to be videos and yet it still seems to be the games market that seems to be "responsible" for behaviour that has been around since the dawn of man.

Did you catch Charlie Brooker's Gameswipe? It'll be on iplayer. Pretty funny. He made a good point about that people who play mario all day don't then go out, jump up and down on mushrooms, and smash their heads against a wall. :D

I do understand why they think that they need to ban games I gust think that they should be rated instead. Games are not the trigger for crazies, they are the excuses. I play strategy games and kill people galore in them but I am still no closer to killing any person. Realism is an increasing factor in today's games and will be even more prevalent with greater computing power.

The Aussies are to put it bluntly numpties of the highest order. Adults cant be trusted to decide for themselves and therefore we must censor and control them.

Yes I have no problems with games ratings but with banning. If not suitable for kids then rate it so. Many gamers are in their late twenties and even thirties. It is down to parents to assess whether a game is suitable.

This will last right up until the Australian gamers get pissed off with it. All it will take is the banning of a mainstream game like CODMW2 and that'll be that.

If Downing Street tried this rubbish I'd be the first one marching...

Well tin foil is still available but the holiday camp is closing.

I read that the average age was actually 36. Well that is a lot of gamers who never gave up after pong!
