If the money goes towards improving broadband access then fair enough, but I fear the money will by syphoned off for defence and the war against "terror" in oil producing nations.

Even that is unlikely. So much will get swallowed up in admin costs along the way, i doubt that it will be effective. Then there is the allocation of the funds that will mean that some ISP's will get so little as to barely make it worth the effort.

Yes and I doubt that the Tories will dump it as it is very regressive and so perfect for them to keep.
