Yeah - but was a he a Commie? I think that’s the other issue the Americans have with him.

Yes, it's very easy. Obama isn't, you understand, but ignorant folk who think he's trying to break their "god-given" rights under the constitution accuse him of all sorts. Including not even being American.

How did we let the US become Top Nation? They're not even properly out of nappies.

*sigh*

Remember, we used to be top dogs when we weren't terribly old as a nation.

True, but I'm sure we ran the world a little better than our former colony is managing.

;)

I asked someone on another forum. It got cyclical. I get the distinct feeling that they are using words they were told by someone else, and they were told that it was “un American”.

An empire's an empire. We've all had one, and they all have their pros and cons. Spain, France, us, the states, China. Everybody's just as bad. You start out wanting to bring order to the galaxy and then end up getting lots of innocent clones & ewoks killed. Personally, I think they're doing a terrible job, but I don't imagine anyone else doing a better one.

As for Obama, finally the gloss wears thin, and everybody realises he's not superman. About time, frankly. I'm fairly confident, however, that he is neither a fascist nor a communist.

The American empire is crumbling not because of Obama but in spite of his efforts. The debts and bubbles built up under Bush Jnr will take a log time to resolve and no one has had the guts to tell the Americans and and the Brits that their standards of living are going to fall for years to come.

Wouldn't being a communist make him a Red?
