Seems that Renault F1 have got a two-season suspended ban, until the end of 2011, for their part in the fixing of 2008's Shanghai race. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8266090.stm Personally, I think they got away lightly there. |

Thats a joke. I cannot believe they basically got away with it. McLaren gets banned from the constructors championship and fined $100m for having a dodgy document but Renault endanger lives and are told "now now, dont do it again or else". I dont think Nelson should have gotten away with it either. OK, so he shouldnt be punished to the extent the bosses are but he went along with it and kept quiet for many months until he threw the toys out of the pram when sacked for being useless. Does anyone else think Alonso may have known a little more about this than he's letting on too? |
