If I ever do decide to travel abroad my next one will be Irish (and therefore burgundy I'd assume) to help avoid any crap resulting from Brexit.

I didn't mean you specifically! I meant there's people who made it an issue around Brexit, whether blue or burgundy.

my old blue passport run out about 35ish years ago i refused to renew as i wanted a British passport not an EU passport.

i will get one of the new blue British passports in the not too distant future ...

I got two new passports last year. Both are red, but only one mentions the EU.
