For a lot of people movies are as disposable now as music became. I don't know how many years it's been since I last bought a new DVD/BR movie. Bought a few old skool classics in TV and movies but nothing just released and they were really cheap.

And TV shows are often way better produced overall, more convenient, and come with hundreds of other shows for less money a month than buying a disc, so...

I have around 2,000 DVDs and maybe 6 BluRays.

i have never purchased any blu-ray. everything film wise is on DVD only ...

It might just be me but I see very little point in re-watching a film or TV show. Once I know what is going to happen it has little interest for me.

The only DVDs I ever bought were for me to watch films that hadn't made it to any of the cinemas in my city. They were all watched once and then sold on. These days everything is streamed.

I think the last blu ray I bought might have been Punisher Warzone. I used to use Play.com before it got taken over by a Japanese company. After that, I used Netflix and torrents for my film needs.
