French energy supplier EDF has estimated that the cost of completing the new Hinkley Point nuclear plant will be £1.5bn more than expected.
The company, which is the project's main backer, said the total cost of the plant was now likely to be £19.6bn.

Apparently a guy called Greg Clark should probably be making a statement, only nobody knows who that is since May deliberately merged a few departments to save money and avoid awkward questions such as this one.

2012 Olympics - original cost was supposed to be £2.4bn and ended up around 12bn.

HS2 started at what, £20bn? Then £30bn, then £40bn, and now some folk are projecting £50bn+

Me, surprised? Not even close.
