Stephen Fry faces blasphemy investigation after calling God an ‘utter maniac’
This was back in 2015 when being interviewed by Gay Byrne on RTE.

1) If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question.
2) Wouldn't such a law be illegal under EU human rights laws as it would effectively make atheiests unable to voice their beliefs?

It is certainly questionable, whether such a law is valid.

I've complained to the authorities because other people might find it offensive, even though I don't. And they didn't bother their hole.

I fear, for once, that you might be correct.

Really? Complaining unasked on other people's behalf?
What a pointless thing to do. If people are offended they'll complain themselves.

A blasphemy investigation into Stephen Fry has prompted New Zealand's major political parties to commit to repealing the country's blasphemy laws.

The Irish police investigation into the comedian and actor was dropped after detectives failed to find enough people who had been outraged by his remarks.
