Len McCluskey re-elected as Unite general secretary

That turnout is atrocious. The head of my union was returned by a mighty 5.5% of members

Good news for Jeremy Corbyn.
Shame McCluskey appears to be more interested in the Labour party than running the union properly (as in actually for the interests of members) but hey ho.

Current Private Eye has an article on how you can be branch secretary (?) of multiple branches all at once, and funnily enough have all of them come out in support for Len.

Love the way they suspended the other guy so he might not have been able to take office if he'd won.

Yes - this looks like "proper" old union voting - we have total democracy so long as you vote for the "right" leader :o

In fairness, there are strong indications that Coyne (or someone in his team) was misusing his position to distribute/target campaign information... but the same could also be said of McCluskey so if one is suspended then they both should be pending an investigation.
