Policeman and attacker killed in Paris gun battle

One policeman has been shot dead and a second wounded in central Paris, French police say, with reports that a gunman was later killed. The Champs Elysees, where the shooting occurred, was sealed off. Reports suggest a single gunman fired on a police patrol. It happened as candidates made their last pitches in a TV appearance before Sunday's presidential election.

An anti-terrorist investigation has been launched.

Looks like he's done this before. Another website (Daily Mail so unreliable) states he was released early from prison having shot policemen.

I'm sure it was entirely deliberate towards that end. Nothing like having racist authoritarian [LIFTED] leading a country to help the likes of ISIS recruit new members.
