Radio news report on the way home said that in China powdered rhino horn sells for $100,000 a kilo. This is despite there being no evidence taking it has any effect at all. And now rhinos are already so scarce in the wild - because idiots are willing to pay for something that will do nothing for them at all - you now get crap like this. And you can bet that if there'd been security guard in the place when they broke in, they'd have had no issue with killing them either. It makes me very sad. And very angry. Innocent creatures being killed not even for food or survival of any form, but just to feed the egos of morons. |
