Especially when we could just stop interfering in global [LIFTED] and spend the money making sure people aren't radicalised two doors down. |

Is there some retired Russkie general writing a grumpy op-ed about how their military isn't capable of both invading Britain at a distance and guarding their flank against the rest of NATO while doing so? |

For our vast natural resources? Revenge? To impose their ideology? Nah, none of them really make much sense these days but then a lot of the time wars don't make much sense anyway. |

As we are basically one massive unsinkable aircraft carrier for the Americans. If you control the UK you then threaten the whole of the Atlantic, make (assuming Russia) getting your subs through the Iceland gap easier and make it a lot harder for the US to support Europe |
