Willy Wonka and Stir Crazy.... two excellent films. I saw Willy Wonka a few weeks ago. It took days to get that 'pure imagination' tune out of my head. Now it's back in there. |

RIP He was a great character. And his version of Willy Wonka was much better than the remake. |

Dear Lord, there are so many films he's in that are literally ROFL. Willy Wonka, The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother... In fact, if you go through the list of great cinema comedies of say 1970-2000, it's probably only Airplane that he wasn't in. Almost certainly the best comic actor of his generation. |
