What a shame, he seemed a genuinely talented actor - I remember him in Alpha Dog, a great performance. His role as Chekov in the Star Trek reboot didn't really play to his strengths IMO, but what a tragic waste.

Another one to add to the list in 2016 :-(

I know there's all sorts of reasoning and statistics thrown about as to why there's been so many celeb deaths in 2016, but bloody hell...

That's doubly sad.
1) 27 is way too young to go.
2) What will they do with the films? Recasting always sucks.

I liked him as Checkov. I was expecting Walter Koenig to check out before him.

I think Walter's mostly plastic these days isn't he? Take about 300 years to biodegrade.
